This is a women’s collective comprising women who provide domestic services. The members meet on a monthly basis in their village forums – Vanitha Vedis. They have all been trained with different skills and take up work accordingly.

SMSS members run institutional canteens.
Presently they run the canteens in the Triveni Hospital – Vanchiyoor, River Valley company at Malayinkil, the Administrative Tribunal – Vanchiyoor, CESS- Akkulam, its own canteen in the TRIDA Complex – Medical College, Trivandrum and the Staff Canteen at the Sree Chithira Thirunal Institute of Medical Science and Technology, Trivandrum.

Sajitha : 9526148328 Advanced Palliative care unit
SMSS Kerala has established an Advanced Palliative Care Unit to provide compassionate and professional care services for individuals with serious or chronic illnesses. This initiative was developed by training a dedicated team of young women in collaboration with Pallium India, with support from Health Action by People. Through this partnership, SEWA strengthened its commitment to community health by building a skilled and reliable caregiving team. The Advanced Caregivers Unit was officially launched in January 2026, and at present, this service is available exclusively in Thiruvananthapuram, with plans to expand to other regions in the future

SMSS Annam has a dedicated outdoor catering unit and cloud kitchen committed to delivering fresh, hygienic, and homely meals directly to customers. We provide well-balanced three-time meals breakfast, lunch, and dinner through flexible weekly and monthly subscription packages designed for students, working professionals, and elderly individuals. Shop SEWA Livelihood Initiative
Another key initiative of SMSS Annam is Shop SEWA Livelihood, launched during the COVID period to support women who lost their jobs in canteen and catering services. Recognizing the need for sustainable livelihood opportunities, the organization introduced this venture to empower women by creating new income sources. Members are provided with hands-on training to prepare a wide variety of delicious snacks, cakes, and specialty foods from different states.
The first Shop SEWA outlet was established in Statue in 2020, marking the beginning of this impactful journey. Today, the initiative has grown to include five shops across two districts, continuing to support and uplift women through skill development, entrepreneurship, and steady employment opportunities.
